"Today our classes went on a 'Book Taste' where the kids got to sample different books and genres and hopefully find new things they want to read."
Picture day is coming up!! On Thursday August 26 in your science class every student will be getting their picture taken. You can bring money in the envelope on picture day, OR you can pay online at www.bellphoto.com and use code: Springcanyonms21
We are so excited to announce this year's bookmark contest! Show your creativity and SCMS school spirit. Top submissions will be posted on the SCMS school website and in the library. Email submissions to wendy.fullmer [at] nebo.edu OR bring a hard copy to Mrs. Fullmer in the library. Students will vote for the best bookmark. Submissions are due by Friday September 17th, voting will be the following week.
Most students at Spring Canyon will ride the bus to and from school. For those parents that will drop-off and/or pick-up their students, please adhere to the following procedures to keep our students safe and flowing smoothly for everybody. The best advice we have is take a deep breath, be patient, and let the system work. We will get everybody unloaded/loaded and safe with your help!
Note that there are three lanes directly in front of the school that are ONE WAY - the left and right lane are for drop-off and pick-up. Drivers in the left and right lane should pull as far forward as they can, unload or load their car, then move to the center lane to exit the drop-off/pick-up area. The center lane is for traveling. There is a crossing guard who will periodically stop cars to allow students to cross either direction.
Band students! Come learn the things you'll need to know as we start the school year.
We are so excited that we get to have student lunch workers!! Since we have FREE breakfast and lunch again this year, students (who do lunch work) accounts will be credited $2.50 every time they lunch work. The logistics of account crediting will be sent out in coming weeks. In the meantime, we would love to have your help! Fill out this form if you’re interested in being a lunch worker.
