Thanks so much for Being so Positive, Accountable, Courageous and Kind!
In STEM Science class students are experimenting with crushing soda cans while learning about data collection and analysis. Students were tasked with predicting the height and weight needed to crush a soda can with a liter bottle of water. Students placed an empty soda can under a vertical 9 foot tube (the can crusher) and then tested the different weights and heights needed to crush the can. Students collected data based on their predictions and it was so much fun to see the students' first data predictions compared to their last set of data. We are so proud of all

These lovely four ladies are the FIRST blackout bingo winners of the year - this means they read multiple books from multiple genres. Ms. Fullmer, our librarian, hosts the contest and while many students are on their way to earning his prestigious award, these four set the bar high. Congratulations!
A huge shout-out of congratulations to this week's PACK leaders - way to be positive, accountable, courageous, and kind!
We want to congratulate Brielle Anderson (6th grade) and Quincee Welsh (7th grade) for winning our short answer response competition for 2022! Both Brielle and Quincee wrote exceptional responses to the prompt: "What does it mean to live the values of our P.A.C.K.?". We are so proud of these young ladies and all the members of our PACK here at SCMS that participated in the competition (we had close to 1,000 entries). Both Brielle and Quincee won a small gift bag for themselves and a doughnut party for their respective science classes where they wrote their responses.
