Fundraiser Fun

Submitted by angela.youd on Wed, 11/17/2021 - 10:31

The PTSA held a fantastic fundraiser at the beginning of the month and it paid off! The school raised over $4,000, and reached many levels of excitement at the school. We were able to hold a teacher dance off as well as tape Mr. Moss and Mrs. Hansen to the wall! Way to go, raising so much money for the school!

Custom Painting

One of our very own PACK members, Haven Hartnett, created this original piece of art for the school.  Haven used a mix of watercolors, silver and gold leaf as well as fabric to create this one of a kind work of art.  SCMS is proud to have Haven as a part of our PACK and we are so grateful that she was willing to share her talents with our new school!

Ghostbuster or Mr. Shepherd?

Submitted by angela.youd on Mon, 11/15/2021 - 11:02

Mr. Shepherd can always be spotted doing something to make our school look spic and span! We are so lucky for all of the hard work he does, and are so appreciative for him and his team. And no he is not a ghostbuster on the side, he just has a really cool cleaning machine! :)

Read the clues, then swipe to see who it is!

This teacher's top 3 favorites are: Coke Zero with coconut, cream, and lime. The movie Austenland. Pickleball

One thing not many people know about this teacher: I love all things Regency!!

Why they love teaching: I almost stopped teaching...but found a subject that can help kids succeed in life.

Being on time sure is fine!!

The past month students have been working so hard to be on time to class. Each student that had zero tardies received a full size candy bar, and students with only 1 or 2 tardies received a small treat.  The 2 pods with the least amount of tardies got to pick between an ice cream party, a donut party, or a pizza party! It sure was fun to celebrate those who have made a huge effort to be on time!

GOOD JOB, GOOD JOB!

Dia de los Muertos

Submitted by angela.youd on Tue, 11/09/2021 - 11:29

In order to help the students learn of the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries, the Spanish 7 and Culture classes worked on the project "Dia de Los Muertos". This is a beautiful celebration on November 1 and 2 where people remember who have passed away. Students painted their faces like the tradition and recorded a video explaining the topic of "Dia de Los Muertos". We are so proud of them.
