Welcome Letter - please see our welcome letter for lots of valuable information to help this year get off to a great start ... it was emailed home and posted here for a quick grab.

WELCOME LETTER                CARTA DE BIENVENIDA

Lockers - Many students desire a locker, many do not.  Because of this, we do not assign a locker to every student. Students who desire a locker can select a locker to have on their own or to share with a friend.  Lockers can be requested by completing the following form or completing a form in the front office when you drop by.  There is no rush, there are plenty of lockers.  Once a locker is assigned, the locker number and combination will appear in the student’s Infinite Campus portal and on their schedule.

New to SCMS? We Look Forward to Meeting You!

Submitted by alison.hansen on

If you are new to Spring Canyon, please start by registering your student.  Either refer to the Registration tab on our school website or click HERE - follow the steps as prompted.  If you have children in multiple schools, you can register them all in one setting.  However, make sure to note the course selection forms on our Spring Canyon Registration page so your student can select courses for the middle school.

Most fifth grade students from our 7 feeder elementary schools recently visited us and have likely registered for the 24-25 school year.  Whether you are a 5th grader who has already visited us or a new-to-the area student, please see the following link for a cheerful and informative e-book.

Welcome to SCMS!

We have been enjoying meeting our upcoming 6th graders (current 5th graders), as they visit from their elementary school! Over the next few weeks we will be visited by all of the Springville elementary schools, after which we will also go visit them to help get everyone registered and set for middle school!

Chinese New Year

Submitted by angela.youd on

This week we are so excited to be celebrating the Chinese New Year. Many classes are participating in activities and celebrations for the Year of the Tiger.  Below is an excerpt about the Chinese New Year.

"Chinese New Year red envelopes are a traditional gift for children or elderly people during Chinese New Year. In China, the red envelope (money) is called ya sui qian (压岁钱 /yaa sway chyen/), which means 'suppressing Sui [the demon]money'. Those who receive a red envelope are wished another safe and peaceful year.
