May Newsletter

Please click here (English Version) to access our May Newsletter, it has lots of great information to help you stay informed of happenings here at our awesome middle school.

Quick reminder about our dress code - more information is in the bulletin, but here's a quick summary since this can become an issue in May.  Shorts need to be mid-thigh (fingertip length is a good rule of thumb), tummies need to be covered, and tank tops need a wide strap (no spaghetti straps).  Thank you in advance!

Smart Steps for Step-Families

Submitted by angela.youd on

Did you know that one in three children currently live in a stepfamily? This includes many of the children within the Nebo school district. Utah State University's "Healthy Relationships Utah" has developed a program specifically for this underserved population and we'd love your help spreading the word. Smart Steps is a free, research-based curriculum that parents can attend virtually or in-person.

Fundraiser Fun

Submitted by angela.youd on

The PTSA held a fantastic fundraiser at the beginning of the month and it paid off! The school raised over $4,000, and reached many levels of excitement at the school. We were able to hold a teacher dance off as well as tape Mr. Moss and Mrs. Hansen to the wall! Way to go, raising so much money for the school!

Custom Painting

One of our very own PACK members, Haven Hartnett, created this original piece of art for the school.  Haven used a mix of watercolors, silver and gold leaf as well as fabric to create this one of a kind work of art.  SCMS is proud to have Haven as a part of our PACK and we are so grateful that she was willing to share her talents with our new school!

Ghostbuster or Mr. Shepherd?

Submitted by angela.youd on

Mr. Shepherd can always be spotted doing something to make our school look spic and span! We are so lucky for all of the hard work he does, and are so appreciative for him and his team. And no he is not a ghostbuster on the side, he just has a really cool cleaning machine! :)
