This means that the distance between the Earth and the Sun changes throughout the year. However, this change in distance is not the primary reason for the seasons. When asked what was the real reason for season's, he commented, "the earth's tilt of course." This lesson really came to life as students explored this phenomenon using models for the earth and sun!
